Aryan Mathur: Annexin V and Coagulation Factors in Pulmonary Embolism
Aryan Mathur, Biomedical Engineering at UMass Amherst, shared on LinkedIn:
”Last week, my research poster was presented at the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) 2026 Congress in Paris, France – my second conference presentation after attending the Thrombosis and Hemostasis Summit of North America (THSNA) in Portland, Oregon, earlier this year.
My poster covers the ‘Relevance of Annexin V with Coagulation Factor X and V in PE Patients,’which examines plasma levels of Annexin V, Factor X, and Factor V in patients with acute pulmonary embolism.
It was an honor that my work was presented at both conferences and shared with the broader thrombosis and hemostasis community.
The conversations I had helped me better understand my own research and consider the directions it could take in the future.
I am especially grateful to Dr. Jawed Fareed for making these opportunities possible and for supporting my growth as a researcher.
I would also like to thank Dr. Fakiha Siddiqui, Dr. Prakasha Kempaiah, Dr. Jeanine Walenga, Dr. Debra Hoppensteadt, Marty Lundy, Mira Nigudkar, and Roy Nunez for their mentorship, collaboration, and support throughout this work.
I look forward to carrying everything I learned from these experiences into future research opportunities!”
