Louise St. Germain Bannon: ISTH Advocates for Enhanced Patient Safety in Blood Disorder Care
Louise St. Germain Bannon, Interim Executive Director at International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), shared ISTH’s post on LinkedIn:
“Patient safety is about more than preventing errors.
It is about ensuring that every person can access timely diagnosis, appropriate treatment and quality care.
For people living with thrombosis and hemostatic disorders, gaps in awareness, diagnosis, treatment and access to specialized care can have lasting consequences.
These conditions must be part of conversations about quality care, health equity and the long-term support people need to live healthier lives.
On World Patient Safety Day, we join the call to strengthen health systems and ensure that patient safety remains central to care for everyone, including those living with conditions that require ongoing management and support.”
International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today is World Patient Safety Day.
Safe, high-quality care is essential for everyone, especially for people living with noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) who may require ongoing treatment and long-term support.
We’re excited to join the global call to strengthen patient safety, improve care and help ensure better health outcomes for all.”
