Andrea Bridges: When Support Becomes a Commitment to Give Back
Andrea Bridges, National Director, Bleeding Disorders at Bluebird Specialty Pharmacy, formerly Blue Sky Specialty Pharmacy, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This week, I had the opportunity to represent the Bleeding Disorders Foundation of North Carolina (BDFNC) at the North Carolina Nurses Association Conference.
BDFNC holds a special place in my heart.
When my son was little, this organization provided our family with so much more than resources.
It gave us a community.
Connecting with other families helped me realize that hemophilia didn’t have to define my son’s life.
That perspective completely changed the way I approached raising him.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to give back to an organization that gave our family so much.
I’m also thankful to work for Bluebird Specialty Pharmacy, a company that not only recognizes the importance of organizations like BDFNC, but also encourages and allows me to support them during my workday.
It means a lot to work for a company that understands the value of giving back to the community we serve.
Grateful to be able to give back, both personally and professionally.”
