Udaya RajBhandari, Associate Researcher at T.U. Lions Blood Transfusion and Research Centre, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Grande Medical Journal, adding:
“I’m pleased to share that our another case report, ‘Anti-c Alloimmunization Causing Acute Hemolytic Transfusion Reaction in a Chronically Transfused β-Thalassemia Patient: A Case Report,’ has been published in the Grande Medical Journal.
This case highlights the importance of RBC antibody screening, antibody identification, and antigen-negative blood selection, particularly in patients requiring repeated transfusions.”
