Integrating Thrombosis Risk Into Menopause Care – World Thrombosis Day
World Thrombosis Day shared a post on LinkedIn:
“For women with inherited thrombophilias or a history of blood clots, menopause treatment requires careful consideration of thrombosis risk.
Conditions such as Factor V Leiden or prothrombin gene mutation may increase the risk of blood clots with hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
For some patients, transdermal HRT may be an appropriate option, but treatment decisions should be individualized through careful risk assessment and shared decision-making.
This World Thrombosis Day, help ensure thrombosis risk is part of the conversation when discussing menopause care.”
