Dhamirah Nazihah Mohd Nasiruddin, Head of Haematology Unit, Quality Manager for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre IIUM, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Two countries, one shared question: how do we catch TMAs early?
As a panellist on yesterday’s Navigating the TMA: Clinical Context and Laboratory Pathways, I learnt from Dr Danny Hsu (Liverpool Hospital, Sydney) how Australia moves from clinical suspicion to TMA screening and then confirmation testing: a clear, stepwise pathway worth reflecting on locally.
Dr Veena Selvaratnam (Hospital Ampang) brought a valuable view from the MOH haemostasis referral laboratory.
Dr Hsu is also as warm and funny as he is knowledgeable.
