Caroline Pothet, Head of advanced therapies and haemato-oncology at the European Medicines Agency, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Sickle cell disease and thalassaemia remain areas of significant unmet medical need. Advancing treatment options starts with supporting robust, innovative medicine development.
The release of two new EMA draft guidelines is an important step towards this goal, helping guide the development of new treatments for patients who need them. Thanks to Caroline Voltz Girolt and both drafting groups for driving this.
