“Phenotypic Clues in Myeloid Neoplasms
Post 6: MDS with isolated delivery(5q)
The classic ‘hypolobated megakaryocytes ‘ story.
- Monolobated or hypolobated negkaryocytes ( often 30-85% of megas)
- Macrocytic Anemia
- Minimal dysplasia in other lineages
- No Auer rods
WHO stills requires Anemia and megakaryocytic dysplasia ICC is more lenient .
A morphologic clue that can guide rapid FISH for 5q.”
