Kathleen Freson: SLFN14 at the Crossroads of RNA Regulation, Platelet Biogenesis and Inherited Thrombocytopenia
Kathleen Freson, Professor at KU Leuven, Chair of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by My Tran et al, published in JTH, adding:
“Our review explores the super fascinating and still poorly understood role of SLFN14 in RNA regulation, platelet biogenesis, and inherited thrombocytopenia.
We highlight how uncovering the links between RNA metabolism and platelet generation may open new avenues for research into platelet disorders.”
