Cesar de Almeida Neto: REDS-IV Study on Donor Deferrals Wins Best Scientific Paper at HEMO 2026
Cesar de Almeida Neto, Medical Manager at Hospital Nove de Julho, Head of Apheresis Department at Pró-Sangue Foundation Hemocenter of São Paulo, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The third day of Hemo 2026 was truly special!
A morning filled with excellent discussions and clinical case debates with medical students during Mãos à Obra.
The highlight was the Um Só Sangue Award: our REDS-IV study on donor deferrals, led by Natália Braga, won Best Scientific Paper.
Our study on hepatitis in blood donors was also awarded Best Paper in Hemotherapy.
Beyond science and recognition, Hemo is about reconnecting with our friends by blood.
And finally, a wonderful evening at the President’s Dinner!”
