EHC in Romania – Working Towards Better Patient Care
EHC – European Haemophilia Consortium shared a post on LinkedIn:
“EHC President Tatjana Markovic, Vice-President William McKeown, and Steering Committee Member Marius Tanase are representing the EHC in Romania this week at the invitation of our National Member Organisation, Asociația Română de Hemofilie (ARH).
The visit began today with a roundtable at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest. The delegation took part in a discussion with Romanian haematologists, parliamentarians, representatives of national health authorities, patients and families.
The discussion focused on how to strengthen bleeding disorders care in Romania, including:
- a national network of treatment centres
- home-based treatment
- a functional national registry
- equitable access to prophylaxis and modern therapies
Better care for people with bleeding disorders in Romania starts with patients, clinicians, and decision-makers working together.
EHC is proud to support ARH in this work.
Stay tuned for more updates from the visit!”
