Gregory Piazza, Director of the Vascular Medicine Section at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, posted on LinkedIn:
”Lipoprotein(a) is a known risk factor for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, including heart attack. Testing for lipoprotein(a) is even a recommendation in some guidelines to identify patients at risk for early heart disease. But is lipoprotein(a) a risk factor for venous thrombosis as well? A recent publication from my group explores the links between lipoprotein(a) and blood clots.”
