Transfusion Transmitted Infections (TTIs) are infections that can be passed from donor to recipient through blood transfusion, including HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, and Malaria.
Advanced donor screening and laboratory testing methods such as ELISA, CLIA, NAT (Nucleic Acid Testing), and rapid serological tests play a vital role in detecting infections early and ensuring safe blood transfusion practices.
Strict screening protocols, voluntary blood donation, and quality assurance together help protect patients and strengthen healthcare systems worldwide.”
