”We are thrilled to welcome Dr, Bethany Samuelson Bannow as the Program Leader of Classical Hematology in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Cancer Institute Cleveland Clinic
Dr. Samuelson Bannow earned her medical degree from Oregon Health and Science University completed her residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and her fellowship at the University of Washington.
She has served as an Acting Instructor at the University of Washington and later as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in Hematology and Oncology at OHSU.
A hematologist, scientist, and educator, Dr. Samuelson Bannow is passionate about advancing the care of patients with bleeding and clotting disorders.
She has led and participated in multiple clinical trials focused on hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, and other bleeding disorders, and her research centers on blood clotting regulation and women’s health in hematology.
She is also actively engaged in professional leadership, serving as Associate Editor of ASH Clinical News, Co-Chair of the Thrombosis Subcommittee of the Foundation for Women and Girls
With Blood Disorders, and on committees for the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society and the American Board of Internal Medicine American Society of Hematology.”
