Cathy Harrison: The Central Role of Diagnosis in Bleeding Disorders Management
Cathy Harrison, Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Haemophilia and Haemostasis Disorders at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Happy World Haemophilia Day 2026!
This day recognizes all bleeding disorders and this year’s theme is ‘Diagnosis – first step to care‘ as without a diagnosis, the care provisions within specialist centeres and the available treatments are not accessible.
The World Federation of Hemophilia continues to work with regions around the world to support diagnostic capabilities.
As World Congress 2026 starts this weekend, the global community comes together in Kuala Lumpur to celebrate and share achievements in the field, understanding the needs of those living with the condition and supporting them to participate in this meeting too.
It’s been a challenging run up with everything going on in the world right now, but we’re looking forward to joining all those in attendance.”
