Clémentine Sarkozy: A New Chapter for Hematology at Institut Curie

Clémentine Sarkozy, Professor of Hematology and Hospital Practitioner at Institut Curie and University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I’m honnored to share my appointment as University Hospital Professor in Hematology, at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ), and that as of September 1st, I will be taking on the role of

Head of the Hematology Department at Institut Curie.

This is also a chance to warmly thank the people who shaped this path and gave me the desire to pursue an academic career in hematology.

My mentors – Bertrand Coiffier, Gilles Salles, Christian Steidl, and Steven Le Gouill – each passed on to me the human and scientific values of the physician-researcher.

Thank you also to Irène Buvat, director of the IRIS laboratory (UMR9029 CNRS / U1353 INSERM), for such a stimulating research environment, firmly turned toward innovation and the integration of AI.

A big thank you as well to everyone at LYSA/LYSARC, a truly unique cooperative group that I had the chance to join early in my career, and with whom I hope to keep working for many years to come.

I also want to thank Dr. Carole Soussain, who led this department with great dedication, and whose work I’m proud to carry forward.

Finally, thank you to the entire Hematology team at Institut Curie – looking forward to this next chapter together.”
