Denis Oduor: Dengue-Associated Thrombocytopenia and the Risk of Bleeding
Denis Oduor, Nairobi County Blood Services Coordinator at Nairobi City County, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today, the Kenya National Blood Transfusion Service (KNBTS) team, visited Kasarani Maternity Hospital and Maria Immaculata Mission Hospital for an assessment and capacity-building exercise on Blood Transfusion Services.
The visits focused on strengthening the 2 facilities readiness, enhancing the capacity of healthcare workers, and improving access to safe and timely blood transfusion services for patients who need them most.
Our mission remains clear:
- Bringing Blood Closer.
- Saving More Lives.
- Every facility strengthened is another step towards ensuring that no patient, especially a mother in need of emergency care, loses their life due to lack of blood or blood products.”
