Giulia Simini: MATRON Study Selected as Top-Scoring Abstract at the BSH Annual Scientific Meeting
Giulia Simini, Resident doctor in Hematology at NHS England, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Delighted that our Matron study (Maternal Audit on ThRombosis Outcome and decision) has been selected as one of the top-scoring abstracts at this year’s British Society for Haematology Annual Scientific Meeting.
Pregnancy-associated high-risk and intermediate-high-risk pulmonary embolism remains an area with very limited evidence and inconsistent access to advanced therapies. This multicentre UK dataset reinforces how much work is still needed – particularly around thromboprophylaxis, multidisciplinary pathways, and prospective evaluation of advanced interventions.
Huge thanks to all centres and HaemSTAR collaborators involved.
Looking forward to sharing the findings at BSH.”
