Jacqui McCallum: Stroke Foundation Brings Stroke Advocacy to State Parliaments
Jacqui McCallum, Executive Director, Brand, Communications and Advocacy at the Stroke Foundation, reposted from Stroke Foundation on LinkedIn:
”Big week for the Stroke Foundation advocacy A-team with Parliamentary events in New South Wales and Victoria.
A huge thank you to our lived experience representatives who continue to share their stories with courage and generosity, and to the MPs who attended and committed their support.
As you can see, Lisa‘s hands are ready for a big novelty cheque.
While Victoria has made significant progress in stroke treatment, we need greater investment in stroke awareness and recovery.
Funding to increase F.A.S.T. awareness will help more Australians recognise the signs of stroke and act quickly, while investment in rehabilitation and recovery services will help survivors rebuild their lives and achieve the best possible outcomes.”
Quoting Stroke Foundation‘s post:
”Celebrating 30 years of impact with Stroke Foundation today at Parliament of Victoria.
It was incredible to see so many dedicated members of our community come together.
The fight against stroke takes all of us.
Together, we can build a future where prevention, treatment and recovery are accessible to every Australian.”
