Kinza Raza: Giving Back Through Thalassaemia Awareness – A Journey Back to School
Kinza Raza, Logistics and Volunteer Coordinator, Co-Ambassador at Join To Serve, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Sharing a moment I’ll always hold close to my heart.
When life gives you the chance to give back to a place that gave you so much, the experience becomes all the more meaningful.
It was such an emotional and heartwarming experience to deliver a thalassaemia awareness session as a member of Nasl International at Multan Public School (MPS Girls), the very school that shaped me into the person I am today.
There’s something about walking into a building that holds so much of your childhood. The nostalgia hits differently. Every corridor brings back a memory, every familiar corner takes you back to a moment, and suddenly, you find yourself reliving all those years you spent there.
But perhaps the most special part was standing in front of those lovely young girls, delivering a presentation and watching them listen, while somewhere in the back of my mind, I could picture my younger self sitting in those very classrooms, looking up at the teachers who once taught me.
Seeing my old teachers again, receiving so much warmth and respect from the faculty, and being welcomed back with such kindness made the entire experience even more special.
It was a proud moment, but also a humbling one.
To return to the place where your own journey began and have the opportunity to share something meaningful with the next generation is a feeling that’s difficult to put into words.
They say your school will always hold a special place in your heart. I couldn’t agree more.
Some places never really stop feeling like home.”
