Kristopher Jonas: Why Donors Show Up and Why It All Matters
Kristopher Jonas, Chief Executive Officer/President at Proesis Biologics, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”This recent piece from Peter Jaworski that sparked a different reflection for me.
In plasma, we spend a lot of time talking about why people donate.
But the truth is, people show up for different reasons. And, they’re all valid.
- Some are motivated by helping patients
- Some are motivated by the compensation
- Some are in between
Here’s the part that matters:
Our responsibility isn’t to judge the reason. It’s to respect the decision.
Because regardless of why someone walks through the door…they are contributing to a system that patients depend on.
And that deserves to be met with:
- Respect
- Dignity
- Appreciation
Every single time.
If we want to build a sustainable plasma supply, this principle has to be foundational:
- Fierce donor advocacy means showing up for the donor, without conditions.
- Not when it’s convenient.
- Not when it fits a narrative.
- Every time.
That’s how trust is built.
And in this industry, trust is everything.”
