Luana Banu: Every Donation Connects A Human Chain
Luana Banu, Head Global Public Affairs and Patient Advocacy,Plasma-Derived Therapies at Takeda, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”As Plasma Awareness Week continues to shine a light on the importance of plasma, I keep coming back to the people behind every step of the plasma journey.
It starts with a donor who chooses to give.
Then there are medical professionals caring for donors and patients, researchers advancing science, people collecting, testing and manufacturing plasma, drivers transporting it, people moving materials and equipment through facilities—and so many others whose contribution is essential, yet may not always be visible when decisions about healthcare are made.
Different roles. Different expertise. One human chain.
And at the end of that chain is a patient—someone whose life may depend on the commitment, care and expertise of every person along the way.
Behind every policy issue, every medicine and every number are people.
Thank you to everyone who is part of that chain. And, above all, to the donors who make it possible.”
