“September is Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Month
—a time to elevate the voices and experiences of people living with sickle cell disease and to expand access to clear, meaningful information.
I’m excited to share that MySCDstory is now available in Spanish!
MySCDstory is an interactive resource designed to help teens, young adults, families, and caregivers explore different sickle cell disease treatment journeys, including medication, chronic transfusion therapy, bone marrow transplant, and gene therapy.
By following Nia’s story, visitors can learn how each treatment path might affect health, school, work, family life, and emotional well-being-giving them information and questions to discuss with their healthcare team.
