Mavis Agnes Kisakye on Community Impact at HFU
Mavis Agnes Kisakye, Health Officer, EVD Response at Uganda Red Cross Society, shared on LinkedIn:
”There is no reward greater than witnessing the unwavering spirit of the families we serve at the Haemophilia Foundation of Uganda (HFU).
Today, I was moved by Adrian’s grandmother.
Not only does she ensure Adrian never misses his routine Emicizumab treatment, but she also goes above and beyond for the community.
After Adrian’s appointment, she personally carries factor concentrates to a neighboring treatment center, ensuring other patients have access to the life-saving medicine they need.
This is the definition of “community serving community.”
Her dedication reminds us that while we provide the medicine, it is the courage and commitment of our caregivers that truly saves lives.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the World Federation of Hemophilia / Fédération mondiale de l’hémophilie (WFH).
Your continued humanitarian support and the donation of these life-changing products make stories like Adrian’s possible.
Together, we are bridging the gap in care, one journey at a time.”
