Michael Makris: Will New Anti-TFPI Drug Armocibat Behaves any Different to Concizumab or Marstacimab

Michael Makris, Emeritus Professor of Haemostasis and Thrombosis at University of Sheffield, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“A Chinese company called Suzhou Alphamab is making an anti-TFPI drug called armocibat, for use in haemophilia with and without inhibitors.

The drug is in phase III at present.

They have just signed a license agreement for a Russian company called Nanolek to produce the drug.

I have no reason to believe that armocibat behaves any different to concizumab or marstacimab, but I hope they have safety surveillance systems to monitor for thrombosis when this drug is no longer in clinical trials.”
