Priyanka Raheja: Happy World Haemophilia Day from The Royal London Haemophilia Centre
Priyanka Raheja, Director at The Royal London Hospital Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Happy World Haemophilia Day from The Royal London Haemophilia Centre!
We celebrated WHD by having our annual team away day. It’s an extra special year as we commemorate our 50th anniversary. From when the centre was founded in 1976 by Prof Brian Colvin, the treatment of bleeding disorders has evolved but the ‘can do’ spirit of Barts Health NHS Trust in East London remains the same.
We rarely get to spend time together with every single member of the team. By the end of the day, the excitement was palpable, with renewed energy and a clear vision for the year ahead. I am so grateful to be surrounded by such lovely, kind and smart teammates. Our day ended with a wonderful talk about Women’s health from Nanda Uitslager.
Half of our team is now on their way to Malaysia for the World Federation of Hemophilia conference, whilst some team members head to British Society for Haem congress and the rest of us will hold the fort at home.”
