“I am currently reviewing many PICU oncology patients who are being treated with TLS, some of whom are undiagnosed or battling cancer.
It is well-known that oncology patients often have neutropenia and low platelet counts. I am interested in understanding how to manage cases where they develop VTE.
I came across a very informative article that specifies platelet count thresholds for administering or withholding treatment, specifically concerning LMWH (Enoxaparin).
