Stephanie Matz: Recognizing the Incredible Social Work Team at Hemophilia of Georgia
Stephanie Matz, Vice President of Clinical Services at Hemophilia of Georgia, shared Hemophilia of Georgia’s post on LinkedIn:
”March is Social Work Month, and I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible Social Work team at Hemophilia of Georgia.
Our social workers are often the steady hand behind the scenes, helping patients and families navigate some of the most complex moments of their lives.
They provide guidance through diagnoses, connect families to critical resources, advocate for patients, and offer compassionate support when it is needed most.
In the bleeding disorders community, their work goes far beyond traditional social work.
They help families manage the financial realities of care, guide patients through assistance programs, support mental health and coping, and ensure that no one feels alone in their journey.
I am continually inspired by the dedication, empathy, and professionalism our team brings to this work every single day.
Their impact is felt not only by the patients and families they serve, but across our entire organization.
Thank you to our Social Work team for the heart, expertise, and advocacy you bring to the bleeding disorders community.
We are grateful for you this month and every month.”
Quoting Hemophilia of Georgia‘s post:
”March is Social Work Month!
Hemophilia of Georgia honors and celebrates our social workers: Jordan Brewer, Melanie Farnham, Valencia Firmin, Olivia Stevens, and our Director of Social Work, Emily Brown.
We are grateful for all they do to help transform the lives of those with bleeding disorders every day!
Social workers play a critical role in advocating for and helping our patients to live as normally and productively as possible…because we know that it takes so much more than medicine!”
