Wendy Disbro: AABB Highlights the People and Experience Behind Transfusion Medicine
Wendy Disbro, Transfusion Marketing Manager of North America at Werfen, Yoga/Stress Management Instructor at Indiana University Indianapolis, Founder and Creator of Smudgin Soul Sister, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“4,546 years of impact.
Let that sink in.
That’s the collective experience shared by 238 people who added their stories to our Blood Drop Impact Wall at AABB this year.
Representing 39 states and 6 countries outside the U.S.
That is what I love about this community.
The experience, the dedication, and the people who show up 24/7 for patients who may never know their names.
AABB will forever be my favorite tradeshow.
My career started in the laboratory, and while my title has changed a few times, my love for transfusion medicine certainly hasn’t.
I’m always blown away by the science, the posters (my personal favorite!), and the creativity coming from blood centers and industry partners.
And speaking of creativity… our Blood Drop Impact Wall and blood bank refrigerator were two of my favorite marketing projects this year.
Sometimes the simplest ideas spark the BEST conversations.
A huge shoutout to my Werfen team!
The work behind the scenes is no joke, and this crew absolutely delivered.
Proud of what we created together!
Great science. Good people. Meaningful work.
See you next year, AABB!”
