CoBA Shares Blood Type and Rh Factor Importance
Coalition of Blood for Africa – CoBA shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Most women only learn about Rh factor when complications have already begun. The truth is simple: knowing your blood type early is one of the easiest ways to prevent jaundice, severe illness or even pregnancy loss.
If you are pregnant or planning to be, get your blood type checked.
If you are Rh negative, talk to your health worker about the anti D injection and when you should receive it. It is quick, safe and lifesaving.
Share this with someone who needs it.
The more women who know, the fewer babies we lose to something medicine can already prevent.”
