“Donor Appreciation Evening | World Blood Donor Day 2026
On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day 2026, the Department of Transfusion Medicine, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram, organized a Donor Appreciation Evening to celebrate and recognize the invaluable contributions of voluntary blood donors.
We were privileged to have Shri Ravada A. Chandrasekhar, IPS, Director General of Police and State Police Chief, Kerala, as the Chief Guest, and Shri Anu S. Nair, IAS, State Mission Director, National Health Mission Kerala, as the Guest of Honour.
We Recognised and honoured nearly 90 regular voluntary blood donors whose selfless contributions continue to save countless lives
The evening served as a heartfelt tribute to our donors and a reminder that every donation is truly ‘One Drop of Humanity – Save Blood, Save Lives.’
Our sincere gratitude to all donors, dignitaries, colleagues, and organizing team members who made this celebration memorable and meaningful.”
