Adriana Skafi: Case Report on Catastrophic Antiphospholipid Syndrome
Adriana Skafi, Intern Doctor at Beit Jala Governmental Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery, adding:
”Proud to share my latest peer-reviewed publication as first author:
From hemoptysis to thrombosis: a comprehensive case study of catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome in a young female published in the Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery
This case highlights a rare and aggressive presentation of catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome (CAPS) with extensive thrombosis extending from the superior vena cava into the right atrium in a previously healthy young patient.
Highlighting the importance of early recognition and multidisciplinary management in rapidly progressive thrombotic disease.
Grateful for everyone involved in this work!”
