Brandon Buck: Human Cell-Free DNA as a Diagnostic Tool for Aging and Rare Blood Disorders
Brandon Buck, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Nature Progress Oncology, adding:
“Officially published my first-author Ph.D. manuscript on utilizing human blood plasma cell free DNA as a diagnostic tool for analyzing the telomeric and genomic landscape in aging and rare blood disorders.
Additionally, cell free DNA reveals unique telomeric chromatin footprints in vivo.
After numerous years of coding, data analysis, Illumina and Oxford Nanopore sequencing, CUTandRUN experiments, and cell free DNA isolations and library preps, the paper has been published, and a provisional patent has been submitted.
