Cedric Hermans: New HAVEN 6 Publication Highlights Emicizumab Outcomes in Mild and Moderate Haemophilia A
Cedric Hermans, Head of Haemophilia Centre at the Saint-Luc University Hospital, Brussels, shared a post on LinkedIn about recent article he and his colleauges co-authored, published in Therapeutic Advances in Hematology, adding:
“‘Mild’ describes a factor level – not always the bleeding burden.
Our new HAVEN 6 publication reports long-term emicizumab outcomes in 72 people with mild or moderate haemophilia A without inhibitors who warranted prophylaxis.
At approximately 3 years’ median follow-up, the annualised treated bleed rate was 1.0, with maintained therapeutic exposure and unchanged coagulation safety biomarkers. Two thromboembolic events were reported.
Look beyond FVIII levels.
Personalise protection.”
