Davide Capodanno: This Time It’s About the Timing of Complete Revascularization in ACS

Davide Capodanno, Professor of Cardiology at University of Catania, editor-in-Chief of EuroIntervention, posted on X:

“This slide just can’t catch a break. Every time I try to make it concise, a new trial drops the next day. This time it’s about the timing of complete revascularization in ACS.

After the trial showing noninferiority of the immediate approach (BIOVASC), the one showing superiority (MULTISTARS-AMI), and the one showing “non-noninferiority” (OPTION-STEMI), of course at TCT 2025 we now have the one showing “non-superiority” (iMODERN).

And since confusion clearly loves company, the next logical step is a meta-analysis — at least then the confusion will be sophisticated.”
