Jecko Thachil: Can We Use Styptics as Topical Haemostats in Bleeding Disorders
Jecko Thachil, MAHSC Professor, at the University of Manchester, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, adding:
”Styptics are topical agents which can stop bleeding.
Recently, regoliths have been identified as extra terrestrial topical haemostats.
James Bond used styptic pencils for shaving cuts, according to Ian Fleming
Can we use styptics like chitosan and nanopolymers as topical haemostats in bleeding disorders?”
