Manabu Inoue: Tenecteplase or Alteplase Before Thrombectomy by T-FLAVOR Trial
Manabu Inoue, Chief Medical Officer at Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), shared on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in JAMA Neurology, adding:
”I am pleased to share that the T-FLAVOR trial has been published in JAMA Neurology.
T-FLAVOR is a multicenter, randomized clinical trial comparing tenecteplase with the approved Japanese low-dose alteplase (0.6 mg/kg) before endovascular thrombectomy in patients with acute ischemic stroke.
To our knowledge, this is the first randomized trial to evaluate these two thrombolytic strategies in Japan.
I am sincerely grateful to all investigators, study coordinators, patients, and their families for making this study possible.
I hope these findings will contribute to improving stroke care and advancing evidence-based treatment worldwide.”
