Nathan Punwani: EASIX and sC5b-9 Predict TMA After Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation
Nathan Punwani, Blood and Marrow Transplant Physician at Mayo Clinic, shared a post on X about a recent article by Wenwen Guo et al., published in Bone Marrow Transplantation, adding:
“EASIX score (LDH x Cr/Platelets) and sC5b-9 predicts thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) after allogeneic stem cell transplant.
Patients with a high baseline EASIX (more than 6) and elevated sC5b9 at day 14 after transplantation have a 32.4% incidence of TMA in the first 100 days after transplant.”
