Umberto Pensato, Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Humanitas University, Research Collaborator at the University of Calgary, shared on LinkedIn:

Reperfusion can be beneficial, futile, or harmful depending on the extension and (most importantly) severity of the ischemic core.
Moreover, both relative and absolute treatment effects should be considered for treatment decision-making.
Notably, this opinion paper was born from a vivid discussion about a single patient with my Canadian mentors: Michael Hill, Bijoy Menon, Johanna Ospel, Andrew Demchuk; Humanitas University; University of Calgary; American Heart Association”
