World Stroke Academy: Can Adjunct IAT Improve Tissue Reperfusion?

World Stroke Academy shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Felix Ng et. al, published in AHA Journals, adding:

“Monday Tip – IA thrombolysis

Successful EVT is not equal to complete tissue reperfusion.

Adjunct IAT may improve excellent outcomes in selected anterior-circulation LVO.

But trials remain mixed and mortality or disability benefit is unproven.

Patient selection is key.”
