Ivan Budnik Highlights New Framework for Thrombus Resolution Analysis in Mouse IVC Stenosis Model
Ivan Budnik, Postdoctoral Research Scholar at The University of Iowa, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Our new article has just been published in RPTH Journal:
Methodological framework and unified metrics for thrombus resolution analysis in the mouse IVC stenosis model
In this study, we present a framework that combines:
- back-branch ligation to improve model consistency,
- longitudinal MRI for volumetric tracking, and
- unified resolution metrics – proportional resolution rate and time to half-maximum thrombus volume.
We hope these standardized measures will facilitate cross-study comparisons and strengthen preclinical evaluation of therapies that promote venous thrombus resolution.
Grateful to Dr. Anil Chauhan for leading this project and to my co-authors Dr. Mariia Kumskova and Dr. Daniel Thedens for their expertise and great collaboration!”
