”We are delighted to announce that Dr. Sylaja Pn, Professor of Neurology, has been awarded the WSO Presidential Award for her exceptional contributions to stroke research and care.
During her award speech at WSC2025, Dr. Sylaja shared her journey of building comprehensive stroke care programs, establishing stroke units, and leading impactful initiatives in Kerala, India.
She highlighted her involvement in the INSTRECT network, the expansion of stroke care through community engagement, and successful training programs.
Dr. Sylaja also discussed her innovative work with a smartphone-based intervention to improve secondary prevention in stroke survivors and thanked her dedicated team for their continued efforts in improving stroke outcomes.”
