NNHF Unveiled at ASH2025: Expanding Beyond Haemophilia Care to Include SCD and Thalassemia
Amos Gitonga M, Associate Programme Manager-Southern Africa at Novo Nordisk Haemophilia and Haemoglobinopathies Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“While some of our Novo Nordisk Haemophilia and Haemoglobinopathies Foundation (NNHF) colleagues unveiled at ASH2025 in Orlando, we celebrated an inspiring Africa Unveil in Nairobi, Kenya NNHF Africa Unveil.

Together with partners from across Africa, we marked a bold new chapter: expanding beyond haemophilia care to include sickle cell disease (SCD) and thalassemia.
After two decades of impact, this is a new horizon and a momentum we are excited to carry forward. I look forward to working with incredible partners in Africa to strengthen care where it is most needed.
Our shared goal: to build an integrated model of care for haemophilia and SCD, while also advancing tailored approaches for each condition as needed. By leveraging shared resources, we aim to strengthen service delivery and improve access, and outcomes for people living with these conditions.”
