Rethinking Cardiovascular Risk: Remnant Cholesterol vs LDL Cholesterol
Mobina Imannezhad, MSc in Clinical Nutrition at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, posted on LinkedIn:
”Excited to share our latest article, ‘Emerging importance of remnant cholesterol compared with low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in cardiovascular risk assessment.’
The study yielded significant findings. Elevated levels of remnant cholesterol (RC) and LDL are robust predictors of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) and Coronary Artery Disease (CAD). Furthermore, the combination of higher RC and lower LDL levels provides enhanced risk prediction, underscoring the critical role of RC in CVD risk assessment.
I extend my sincere appreciation to our collaborative team for their invaluable support and commitment.”
