Matthew Flick: New Evidence on SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein and Clot Formation
Matthew Flick, Professor at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, shared on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, adding:
”I’m excited to report that our latest publication is now available online in Blood Advances – Blood Journals Portfolio.
Here we provide data supporting the idea that the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein conditionally binds fibrin(ogen), but we refute the concept that it influences plasma clot fibrin formation, structure, or lysis.
