Strengthening Laboratory Services and National Planning for Hemophilia Care in Sierra Leone – WFH
World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“In Sierra Leone, the WFH recently completed a country visit focused on strengthening laboratory services and national planning for hemophilia care.
The visit included a laboratory services assessment and training at Connaught Hospital in Freetown, alongside an annual planning session for the Cornerstone Initiative, now in its second year in the country.
During the laboratory training, participants strengthened their understanding of pre-analytical variables and how they can affect test results and included practical workshops, helping improve the accuracy of diagnosis for bleeding disorders.
These efforts support improved diagnosis and care for people with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.”
