“Venous Thrombosis RFI – March 2026
ESA and NASA have released a Request for Information (RFI) to support planning and future acquisition strategies related to venous thrombosis (VT) in spaceflight and exploration missions.
The agencies are seeking input on approaches to:
- Monitor VT
- Reduce associated risks
- Develop potential treatment strategies
Contributions may also include recommendations for future spaceflight and analogue research relevant to VT.
All information provided will be used on a non-attribution basis to inform ongoing planning efforts.
Submission deadline: 15 April 2026 (23:59 CET)
If your work aligns with these areas, this is an opportunity to help inform the future direction of human spaceflight health initiatives.”
