Shriram Varadharajan: Closing a Meaningful Chapter in Radiology and Stroke Care Leadership
Shriram Varadharajan, WSO Certification Committee Member at World Stroke Organization, shared on LinkedIn:
”A Meaningful Chapter – 3 Years of Impactful Senior Leadership in Radiology and Stroke Care Administration in My Hometown
It is a profoundly special experience to serve the community where you grew up.
As my three-year tenure as Senior Consultant Neuro-Radiologist and Clinical Lead for Brain and Spine Imaging in the city where I grew up comes to an end, I am filled with immense gratitude.
Leading clinical workflows from scratch (plain CT) to complex scenarios (clinical fMRI and DTI), training staff and technologists in Radiology operations, spearheading quality initiatives for stroke and cerebrovascular diseases, and driving administrative excellence have been profoundly rewarding.
The finale?
An academic talk on Stroke Imaging – a field I remain deeply passionate about, sharing insights on advanced neuroimaging, tele-stroke pathways, and precision diagnostics to elevate patient outcomes.
It felt only fitting to bring this chapter to a close by delivering a talk on Stroke Imaging straight from my heart, not as a specialist, but as hope from a survivor.
To do so in front of senior city colleagues and pioneers in the field of radiology, such as Dr Swatee Halbe and Dr Murali Krishnaswami, many others, and in the presence of many of my very own students, felt truly special.
I thank Dr. Aarthi Deepesh and IRIA for this opportunity.”
