“Just returned from the International Society for Laboratory Hematology (ISLH) 2026 Symposium in Edinburgh.
This year, I worked behind the scenes on the Anemia and Red Blood Cells and Platelets and Hemostasis scientific committees, supporting scientific programming for the ISLH meeting—an experience I’m especially grateful for early in my training, with the opportunity to collaborate with leaders across the field.
A highlight was the Presidential Symposium by Dr. Catherine Hayward, sharing her journey and the discovery of Quebec Platelet Disorder, work that continues to change lives.
I was honoured to present on behalf of Stefania Coroneos and to see the Othman Lab’s work represented once again on the international stage.
