Why Early Recognition in Bleeding Disorders Saves Lives – EHC

European Haemophilia Consortium (EHC) shared Maia Meier’s post on LinkedIn:

“This is what Maia Meier and Project Elevate Her are working to change — and so are we.

For women with bleeding disorders across Europe, delayed diagnosis is still too common.

Early recognition saves time, prevents harm, and changes lives.

Maia Meier, Clinical Exercise Physiologist at Maia Letitia Fitness, Founder of Project Elevate Her, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Diagnosis is often seen as the starting point.

But what actually changes everything is what happens before that.

For many women living with bleeding disorders, symptoms are present for years — but they’re often dismissed, normalized, or not fully understood.

And without recognition, there is no path to diagnosis.

Early recognition means understanding what symptoms could indicate.

It means asking the right questions.

It means getting access to the right testing and care sooner.

And that shift — from delayed diagnosis to early recognition — can completely change outcomes.

This is a critical part of what Project Elevate Her is working to bring forward.”
